GRANTEE EVENT, October 9, 2024: Exploring Policy Options to Support the Health, Safety, and Well-Being of Healthcare Workers

The grantee team at GMU is hosting an event at GMU College of Public Health as part of their HRSA grant on addressing burnout and stress among healthcare workers. They are holding a Health Policy Forum, held in conjunction with Mental Health Week 2024. This event, titled Exploring Policy Options to Support the Health, Safety, and Well-Being of Healthcare Workers, will take place on Wednesday, October 9th, from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM EST atPeterson Hall, Population Health Center, Multi-purpose room. They have panelists who represent nurses and social workers and will engage in a discussion of policies to support these health professionals, among others, by building better work environments, resources for mental health, removing destructive regulations, etc.

Before the panel discussion, there will be a reception and networking opportunity at 4:30 PM EST. This will be a chance to connect with students, faculty, and fellow attendees.

There will also be a Zoom link for those who are interested in attending but cannot attend in-person.

This forum will feature a distinguished panel of experts, including:
